Degree in visual arts from UNICAMP. The work of Bruno Baptistelli traverses an arc that begins in painting, involves the pictorial intervention in architectures and ends by having the street space and reorganizing materials found there another aspect. In the latter, the artist makes the chance encounter with the clutter and waste – remnants of the world that otherwise would be relegated to oblivion – a point fuze for the construction of their “Urban Restructuring,” in which that which usually goes unnoticed by our eyes takes shape and place.

Baptistelli so devoted special attention to the prosaic, everyday, having the ability to donate a formal rigor (not formal) and a poetic force unsuspected for all sorts of leftovers, debris and accumulations that inhabit the edges of cities, making us see even differently.
